Staheli Trenchless Consultants diverse staff provides a wide range of expertise and experience which can be applied to trenchless construction. All of our firm members work closely, sharing project experience and technical expertise to provide exceptionally thorough and well balanced services suited to the needs of our clients.

Kimberlie Staheli, President, Principal Engineer, Ph.D., P.E.
Kimberlie Staheli, Ph.D., PE, has specialized in trenchless engineering. Ms. Staheli's expertise ranges from geotechnical evaluations to microtunneling, horizontal directional drilling, and pipe jacking. She has extensive experience with feasibility studies, preliminary designs, plans and specifications, constructability reviews, prequalification packages, and on-site specialty construction inspections. She has served as an expert witness on numerous projects involving trenchless technology. She holds a PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Geotechnical Engineering.

Matthew Pease, Vice President, Senior Engineer, P.E.
Matthew Pease, PE, has specialized in the design and construction management of projects with trenchless components. His experinece includes leading project designs and serving as the construction manager for large utility owners. As Vice President, Mr. Pease focusses on feasibiltiy studies to evaluate applicable trenchless alternatives for a variety of projects. Mr. Pease is head of construction management and specialized trenchless inspection for STC. He emplasizes construciton risk reduction by providing detailed constructability reviews and by bringing years of construction management experience to the field. Mr. Pease has vast experience in change order reduction and negotiation. He specializes in claims evaluation and contract negotiation. Mr. Pease is a registered civil engineer.

Michelle Ramos, Senior Project Engineer, P.E. L.E.G.
Michelle Ramos, P.E., L.E.G. has been practicing geotechnical engineering since 1996. She has performed site investigation, project management, and construction monitoring and inspection. Over the years, she has become a well-rounded engineer with clients ranging from home owners to small municipalities to large counties. Her project experience has included field explorations, design studies, contract drawings and specifications, and report preparation. Michelle’s project experience has included sewer systems, water-systems, lift-stations, pump stations, wet wells, and ground improvement for infrastructure. Since 2005, Michelle has become specialized in geotechnical engineering associated with trenchless projects. These projects have involved many different trenchless technologies including: horizontal directional drilling (HDD), microtunneling, earth pressure balance (EPB) tunneling, pilot tube microtunneling, and pipe jacking. Many of these projects have been followed from preliminary feasibility assessment through design and construction.

Laura Wetter, Project Geologist, M.S.
Laura Wetter is involved with feasibility studies, geotechnical investigations, risk assessment and project design for a variety of trenchless methods that include microtunneling, horizontal directional drilling, pipe ramming and auger boring.  She has extensive experience with geotechnical writing, and holds an M.S. degree in Geology from the University of California, Davis.  Laura enjoys rock climbing, backpacking and ultimate frisbee.

Christopher Price, Project Engineer
Christopher Price is a civil engineer who focusses on trenchless technology design and inspection. He specializes in horizontal directional drilling, having participated in field studies to evaluate hydrofracture potential in different soil environments. Mr. Price has extensive experience in performing stress calcualtions for HDD projects and provides detailed construciton management services, collecting specific information during drilling to help defend against construction claims. Mr. Price also has experiences in microtunneling, pipe bursting, and pipe ramming. Mr. Price holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University.

Tina Richardson, Operations Manager
Tina Richardson joined STC in 2006 with over 15 years of Office Management experience. She manages the company's accounting functions, takes care of human resource needs as well as providing staff support for project work. Most of her background had been in the Health Care field before getting the opportunity to transition to the exciting world of Trenchless. Tina’s interests are cooking, boating and getting stamps in her passport.
