Staheli Trenchless Consultants is looking to hire immediately for the following position:

Position Title: Trenchless Engineer

Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering (minimum).  Geotechnical emphasis or Masters preferred

Location: Seattle, WA (candidate must be willing to relocate, this is not a remote position).

Type: Full Time (candidate must be willing to work 40+ hours a week)

STC is looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong grasp of engineering concepts.  Applicants must be capable of learning complex technical calculations, have strong presentation skills, and must be able to navigate construction sites to take measurements, photographs, and interface with the construction crew.  STC works on projects both locally (Washington) and out of state.  

• Applicant must be willing to travel to project sites for both site visits and construction inspections.
• Applicant must possess a current drivers license, insurance and a reliable vehicle.
• Applicant must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Construction Inspection job duties may include:

• Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, plans and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collect field data and analyze to identify and resolve issues before they affect trenchless feasibility.
• Prepare project progress reports, daily reports, and necessary project documentation.

Office Engineering job duties may include:

• Assist in preparing design plans using AutoCAD and writing project specifications.
• Performing necessary calculations such as, hydrofracture, pipe stress, and pull loads for numerous types of trenchless technologies.
• Prepare cost estimates, schedule estimates and labor and material requirements for trenchless projects.
• Prepare technical memorandums on project feasibility and alternative analysis on trenchless technologies.

Preference will be given to candidates that have:

• Prior field and inspection experience
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam with NCEES
• Professional experience with trenchless engineering
• Interested in becoming a licensed engineer
